The Acoustic Guitar Project (TAGP) is presenting its second annual concert series showcase in Honolulu! What is TAGP? The short answer is… One Guitar… One week… One new song… Five Artists.
Five Musicians are selected each year to represent their city by writing an original song in only one week using their local TAGP guitar. They sign the guitar, upload their song to the website, and pass it on!
This year, the featured artists will be….
revealed shortly!!
Join us for an evening sure to inspire you as you feast your ears upon the diversity of styles, rhythms, and emotions evoked by the sharing of this guitar.
The intention of this event is to connect artists and inspire musicians from all backgrounds and levels of experience to continue (or start!) writing music. We invite you to open yourself to the idea of expressing one’s self creatively- WITHOUT JUDGEMENT or intense critique.
This event is ticketed and a portion of the proceeds will be going to TAGP to continue funding in Honolulu and other cities. As TAGP grows in Honolulu, we will be expanding our musical outreach in a myriad of ways with a focus on making music accessible and fun for keiki, youth, and budding musicians in our community. If you know of a group or organization that would benefit from an acoustic music performance/songwriting workshops, please share that information to Catherine Ritter (catherine.n.ritter@gmail.com), TAGP curator for Honolulu.
Lots of Aloha and see you there!
