The Acoustic Guitar Project in Honolulu

The Acoustic Guitar Project has finally made its way to Honolulu! What is TAGP? The short answer is… One week… One song… Five Artists.

Five Musicians are selected each year to represent their city by writing an original song in only one week using their local TAGP guitar. They sign the guitar, and pass it on!

This year, the featured artists will be….
Thunderstorm Artis
Dylan O’Clairey
John Valentine
Ron Bronstein
and
Keilana Mokulehua

Join us for an evening of inspiration as you feast your ears upon the diversity of sounds, rhythms, and emotions evoked by the sharing of this guitar. This event is ticketed and a portion of the proceeds will be going to TAGP to continue funding in Honolulu. As TAGP grows in Honolulu, we will be expanding our musical outreach in a myriad of ways with a focus on making music accessible and fun for keiki and youth in our community. If you know of a group or organization that would benefit from music performances/songwriting workshops, please share that information to Catherine Ritter (catherine.n.ritter@gmail.com), TAGP curator for Honolulu.

Lots of Aloha and see you there!

Mike Izon’s 1st Annual ALS Fundraiser & Purple Haze Celebration.

808 State Productions in association with Aku Bone Media presents a fundraiser for the ALS Association West Chapter.

During the event, we will be honoring the people who dedicate their lives to helping others in need while raising awareness and, donations for The ALS Association Golden West Chapter. Some attending the event are diagnosed with ALS and it’s thru the support of the community that we will have the capability to make it the best experience possible for all involved.

The fundraiser will include a live music line up of talented and popular local musicians, surprise musical guest, a celebrity ice dunk tank, door prizes and, catered food by some of Hawaii’s best kitchens while celebrating Mike’s new song Purple Haze. His father passed away 3 years ago from ALS. So he has seen first hand what it can be like for families. He now wants to use the popularity of his song to bring awareness and to celebrate his success.

Performances by, Rachel Cruz, Keith Batlin, Yoza and Mike Izon with special surprise guests.

$5 Early Bird | $10 Door | 21+

All net proceeds will be donated to the ALS Association West Chapter.
